I have this chiming wall clock and i love to hear it chime all the time, however its dark wood and kind of old fashioned it was bought for us as a present a long time ago.
Now our new house is all white and light oak furniture and my husband says it just doesn’t go with anything anymore.
So my dilemma is do I let him give it away to his parents or do I try a breath new life into it somehow?
Well here it is finished the desk i got for free and to be used in my daughters bedroom as a dressing table.
I am gutted that the chrome handles i bought just don’t fit, so maybe when I get some more time I will have to drill new holes and fill the old ones and replace them.
For now I have spray painted the old handles silver.
I am now on the look out for a dressing table mirror but again for now she will have to use the one I painted last year for her which I etched a bird on in the bottom right hand corner.
I need a chair now!
A few weeks ago I painted an old orangey coloured pint table and chairs that we kept in our recent move and I never really knew why!
Anyway I decided to paint them and put them in our new holiday let, don’t know how long they will last but after the last year I have had with the build I was running out of steam.
I bought Ikea cushion pads and place mats, the holiday let only sleeps two but we had three chairs so the table is set for three.
Also I had a dark mahogany table lamp that had a cream shade that got damaged in the move, so I threw that away and painted the lamp, again added an Ikea shade.
The holiday let is very white and modern so I felt it needed a pop of colour, I also made green cushion covers a few weeks ago too for the settee’s which I posted about at the time.
