These types of cutaway shapes are popular in card making at the moment and they are very easy to make in ScanNCut Canvas, this weeks video is a very quick project showing how you can make cutaway shapes using the subtract function of the software.

This scrapbook layout was made using cutaway hearts and I added a heart border and text from the built in designs to show you that you do not have to make cards with this technique. The dark brown represents scrapbook card and the other sections are added elements to cut and decorate your page.

I seem to be drawn to circles at the moment, here is another card I made last night, just with simple shapes I did this one in canvas as I manipulated a rectangle to give it an angled side and added two rows of dashed cut lines around the edge (not sure if they show in the photo)

Printed a greeting on my computer scanned it and added a cut circle around it on the machine.

All card and paper is Stampin Up and available in my online shop to buy
