Welcome To My Blog

Hi

So because of the Christmas holidays I have not had time to record a new video for you this week, but this paper bunting video was made a while ago and I never made it live.

It was recorded before we had the facility to size exactly in ScanNCut Canvas, so I have edited the video to include notes to remind you that we can now do this.

I hope you enjoy it, please like, share and subscribe to my Youtube channel to keep up to date with all my videos posts.

I have new projects and tutorial’s that I am working on and they will be posted as usual, every Sunday starting from next week 11th January 2015.

This video shows how I designed and cut the shapes to make a 3D decoration, the decoration was made based on a video I saw on Youtube.

This decoration would look great bigger in any colour paper, and you could cut two and stick them back to back.

The original video for assembly instructions is in the comments box directly under my youtube video, if you cannot see it click on “show more” under my youtube video for the link.

I am not really into themed christmas trees, I prefer my tree to be more traditional looking, so it has a variety of baubles some bought, some that have been gifts and some handmade by my daughter, but I do like nice wrapping paper, this year I have decided I will experiment and I am using brown paper, jute string and doilies, (as the words of the song say “brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favourite things”. Sorry if you are now all bursting into Julie Andrews mode and being taken back to the world of Sound of Music!

So presents wrapped in brown paper, tied with jute string, then embellished with the recipients initials cut in red card using the ScanNCut some brown bags and small gifts have red doilies and the bigger ones have a handmade hessian/burlap bow.

What do you think, I think they look quite nice.

If you want to know how i did the bows read on.

You will need:-

Hot glue gun

Stapler

Jute String

Hessian/Burlap – 1 piece cut to 10 x 2 inches and 1 piece cut to 6 x 1.5 inches

Screen shots below showing how to assemble, click to enlarge. #gallery-3394-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-3394-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-3394-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-3394-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

And here they are applied to gifts.
