In this video I show how I used vinyl cut with the SNC to make a stencil to apply paint through, and then use vinyl as part of the decoration.
Its a slightly longer video than normal because I wanted to try and show the process of using vinyl as a stencil as well as a decoration. The font is the one used in the Glyph video (on my YT channel) but it was a bit of a devil to weed even though my letters were a good size.
If I can get enough likes on my Youtube video I will give it away if anyone wants it.

In a video I showed recently I designed some knockout text using Inkscape, Ive used the same technique here but with different words. I am going to be cutting vinyl and applying it to this little phone stand/charging unit.
This is the project.

So this is not my idea but I thought it was a good one.
Cut some simple shapes either by hand or I used SNC and basic shapes cut at 4inch high.
Lay on top of some felt slightly bigger add a piece of ribbon or jute twine in-between the two layers and stitch in place, then carry on working your way down the shape using decorative stitches from your machine.
I also used a blanket stitch around the outside edge, then I cut the felt away around the shape. On the oval shape one I trimmed close to the stitches but on the triangle I left about 2mm of felt showing I think I prefer it that way.
These could be made really big and hung on a craft room wall for Christmas too.
