Hi everyone I hope you are all keeping well, here in the UK we are waiting to see what our prime minster has to say about future lockdown restrictions on Sunday, this is a very strange time we are living through.
All the days seem to blend into each other for me but I think we are in week seven. I have been keeping myself busy through out lockdown with Sunday and Wednesday night Youtube live streams and I want to thank everyone again who joins me, its fun learning and sharing our ideas together.
Ive also updated my ScanNCut Cutting File Shop which now has instant downloads available, I have some free files which many people have been downloading and I have some files that are for sale, again thank you to anyone who has purchased them and I hope you enjoy using them.
As some of you may know as well as keeping you all up to date with things going on here on my own blog, I also provide content for the Makers Superstore blog, in addition I am involved in their “May is for Makers” campaign.
We are hosting 4 Free Zoom sessions at 4pm UK time on the 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th of May, they are limited to 10 people and if you are interested please email – team@makersretail.co.uk to register.
We have a card, 3D project, home decor/gift type idea and a fabric project, so hopefully something for everyone.
In the first session last Monday I showed how to design and make this card in Canvas Workspace for PC and I provided the cutting and drawing file for anyone who wasn’t making along with us live.
If you would like to be in with a chance of winning a £50 credit to spend in their online store, Makers also have a competition running at the moment, the details are here. Share your make with them on Instagram using @makerssuperstore or email your make to them at team@makersretail.co.uk put “May is for making” in the subject heading. Good Luck.
This week Ive been sewing and having so much fun making things with some beautiful Disney fabrics available again from Makers Superstore Here. These are just a few things I have more ideas of things to make, I’ve missed sewing I’ve not really done any for such a long time.
These will be future Youtube videos Ive shared them on my Instagram but for anyone who doesn’t use that platform I thought I would show you here too. I love how they have turned out.
All the links to my social media platforms are on my website applelover53.co.uk Here if you want to follow me.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all keeping well, I need to make an apology its completely my fault. I somehow forgot that I had Lynns design team project for April.
She has put together a PDF explaining the origins of the Baltimore quilt block and has created a project for you, showing how you can make your own design using shapes found in the machine and Canvas.
For anyone who doesn’t know what a Baltimore block is here is a photo. I think it looks great and if you are not confident enough to make a quilt, wouldn’t it be nice for the front of a cushion cover?
Lynns project can be found Here on the design team page of my website.
I think you would have to agree that, the projects so far have all been amazing and are teaching all of us new things.
So once again I apologise for messing up but hope you will enjoy reading through Lynns post it really is interesting to know the history behind these things.
