Welcome To My Blog

This came up in my Youtube feed recently, Ive not had time to try it out. I don’t  do a lot of piecing, but when I do I prefer to use the Trace Bitmap options in Inkscape. If you like using Inkscape you may want to experiment with different coloured images following these principles and see if it works for you.

The video can be found Here

I have done this type of thing before using Inkscape but I thought I would showy how it can be done online using Brother ScanNCut Canvas.

I used the same regal font as I have shown previously, which meant I had to start it off in Inkscape, but this technique will work with any of the fonts in Canvas.

The font I used is called Regal its quite a popular font for this type of thing and should be available through an internet search.

So my Sunday morning video tutorial is being posted a day early to my YouTube channel this week.

I show how I took a dingbat font in Inkscape and then convert it in ScanNCut Canvas and use it as a drawn design to make a background for a cute flower card.

You can find it here

And these are the cards I made.
