This table and chairs was an orangey pine set and i was going to throw it out when we moved recently,we never really use it in the old house except for my little girl to paint on, anyway I didn’t and I decided to paint it many many times.
I am going to use it temporarily in the holiday let we have just built, which is where I have been painting it, so not the greatest of photos as its still full of tools and stuff!
We hope to be up and running in a few weeks so when  its in place properly I will take some fresh photos.
I was also painting this over the weekend in between doing the desk and chair. It was very dark mahogany but I forgot to take a before photo.
In my old house in the study we had this Yew writing desk which was functional but when we moved I wanted to use it as a sewing table but it just didnt fit in with our simple white and Oak colour scheme.
So Over the last week I have been priming and painting it.
I used Crown primer several coats and Farrow and Ball Estate Eggshell in ‘All White’ again several coats. and finished it off with a couple of coats of clear mat varnish.
I bought a piece of Ikea Vika Amon table top in Oak 150cm x 75cm to match in with the rest of the house.
I have increased my working space a lot  by adding this new top. I have also attached a Bygel rail (also Ikea) to the underside of the top at one end  so I can hang the small ironing board and quilting rulers.
It now sits proudley in our new craft room.
Here are the before and after photos I am please with how it turned out, I have put the old handles back on for now they are a kind of pewter colour not sure if they are OK or not the rest of the house has chrome fittings.

I have finished the chair so here it is.
