Ive made this cushion for my cousin. Ive used a free font and embroidery design that I got off the internet.

Ok I have got over my fear of my new embroidery machine now Ive read the manual several times, watched the DVD several times and I am starting to feel more comfortable with it.
I have this pillow cushion on the end of my bath its made from towelling and has embroidered words on it, so this morning I thought I wonder if I can do something similar on my machine.
So here is the bath pillow

And here is what I came up with

I was going to make the word “relax” vertical but my cushion is square so it looked better doing it this way. I added a design that is on my machine just to break it up a bit.
I didnt have embroidery thread in the browns, creams and taupe so I have just used ordinary Coates sewing threads which do have a slight shine. I used calico and a tear away stabiliser and I think it turned out nice.
The chair is an old one I blogged about a while ago and I only got around to painting it yesterday with Annie Sloan chalk paint and clear wax.

When we went out looking for a new sewing/embroidery machine last week my daughter saw this fabric its Makower and it was about £11 per meter anyway I found a fat quarter on eBay and made this with it for her.
It has two pockets inside and button and tape measure ribbon to finish it off.
