Welcome To My Blog

So I started this little paper bunting the other day which was inspired by one of the projects in the book that came with the ScanNCut machine.

Even though it is only a small project I kind of lost my way with it, so I’ve left it alone for a few days and returned to it today with renewed enthusiast.

I’ve put magnetic sheet on the back of it and it’s on my daughters magnetic board above her desk.

All made on the ScanNCut and the font is from canvas which I just put onto a USB stick for cutting out.

Ok so my husband came home recently with this ugly hall seat, yes I know what you are thinking, why? I did ask that question myself.

I was even more shocked when he told me he actually paid good money for it. I said they should have paid you to take it away.

Anyway his logic is he wants a seat in the hall to sit on while he puts his shoes on and off, I say “why don’t you stand to do that like I do”?

Sorry cannot repeat the answer!

I’ve not done any painting projects for a while so thought I would have to try and find this little tables inner beauty.

Here is the before.

Here’s the after, minus a little section that we took off.

I used the quarter circle design in the basic shapes in canvas and welded a thin rectangle onto the side to create a tab fastening. I adjusted the bottom node to form a diagonal line on the rectangle to make it easier to glue in place.

I’ve used a shell design pattern paper, so cut a little sea horse from within the ScanNCut designs to add to the front to match. I also cut the shape a second time from card with a 3mm seem allowance to form a mat.

Makes a nice little part bag or would be nice filled with mini eggs or even cut smaller would be nice hung on a tree at. Christmas.
