These types of cutaway shapes are popular in card making at the moment and they are very easy to make in ScanNCut Canvas, this weeks video is a very quick project showing how you can make cutaway shapes using the subtract function of the software.
This scrapbook layout was made using cutaway hearts and I added a heart border and text from the built in designs to show you that you do not have to make cards with this technique. The dark brown represents scrapbook card and the other sections are added elements to cut and decorate your page.

In this video I show you how you can make scrapbook template layouts using ScanNCut Canvas, these types of template are available to buy for scrapbooking but we can make them easily in SNC Canvas.
I show you how to make them using the basic shapes with borders and text. I also show how you can create your own shape by manipulating nodes and at the end of the video I show how you can take it a step further and create a mask/frame.
The basic functions used are “subtract and divide” Once you get playing with these you won’t be able to stop, if you are not into scrapbooking these same features could be made for card making.
