I cannot go any further with the tumbler I posted yesterday as I need fabric for the borders and I am snowed in.
So I decided to use some other pre cut fabric I have which are 5×5 squares and some plain white which I have cut to 5×5 and I have followed a quarter square triangle tutorial from the Missouri Star quilt company, this is very easy and they all virtually line line.
Here are the ones Ive made so far and the video is below.
OMG I cannot say how pleased I am with how this has turned out. Its been a slow process but so rewarding.
Here are some photos, I couldnt  wait until tomorrow for the daylight, so these have just been taken under electric light but you should be able to see how it turned out.
I must also say that this tutorial I found on youtube for doing mitred border corners is the best I have ever found heres the link. I have perfect mitred corners.
We have a Neff double oven and the grill pan in the top oven is the width of the oven so its big and heavy and doesn’t have a handle for lifting it in and out, so when I saw this tutorial from Crafty Gemini on You Tube I knew I had to make one.
Ive made mine from fabric I bought in Ikea the red is ‘Lenda’ and check lining is ‘Berta Ruta’ but instead of turning the short edges as shown in the video I hemmed mine with red bias binding and I added a little hanging hook so it can hang on the oven door.
The Insul-bright I bought off the internet and it really works no hot or burnt hands this morning when I was toasting mini pancakes for breakfast.
Here’s the video tutorial.
