A couple of weeks ago I posted a card I had made, that had been inspired by a Stampin Up “Edge Border” framelit die. I liked the idea and thought I would try and recreate it using a built in border design in ScanNCut Canvas.
This was how it turned out, I did blog about it at the time.

I had questions about how I made it so I’ve made a video showing the process. I would add this technique works better if you design has both negative and positive sections to the pattern.

So we usually make our Christmas cards in the October school holiday but for some reason this year the holiday passed by without virtually any crafting.
I realised last night that it will be 1st of December in a few days and I like to have all my Christmas cards at least made and written if not ready to send out.
I don’t have a lot of cards to send, usually about 40-50 and this is generally an even split between immediate family, friends/work colleagues so last night I sat down and wrote 20 bought cards and then decided I needed to make a simple Christmas card for my immediate family, this is what I came up with.

I have put the tree on the front of the card with 3d foam and I cannot decide whether it needs a small silver star on top of the tree what do you think?
I have decorated the envelope to match too.
All the products used are from Stampin Up and I will list them below.
