Welcome To My Blog

So back in December I asked if anyone would be interested in joining my design team for the ScanNCut, my main aim is to get people to use their machines and not to be scared of them no matter what model of machine you have.

I know a lot of people have a ScanNCut and simply don’t use, it is a fantastic machine and definitely more than just an electronic pair of scissors.

Paul Bailey starts us off with his bottle tag projects, Paul has created lots of designs for you to follow along with his instructions at your own pace.

His step by step PDF is available from my website Here Just look for the January project and the link to the PDF is under the photograph.

I am hoping to be able to showcase one designer project every month starting today and by the end of the year you should have a library of documents that you can refer back to with a variety of project options.

I show you all the tags that Paul made in the video below and I am also adding a couple of photos below too.

I hope you like the projects and it helps and inspires you to have a go and either create directly from his instruction or gives you the encouragement to create something of your own.

Please send me photos if you make anything, my contact details are on my website at http://www.applelover53.co.uk mark you email “DT January Project”

Please make sure you are subscribed to my Youtube channel and follow my blog so you don’t miss out on future projects and tutorials.

Thank you

My Stampin Up Monthly Host Code is a way for me to reward anyone who places a qualifying order with me if enough people use it in the month. So please use the correct code at checkout in online shop (it changes on the 1st of every month)

In last weeks video I showed you how to make a stencil using Canvas Workspace online, in this weeks video I am showing you how to make a stencil in the Canvas Workspace Download programme, this programme is available for both Mac and Windows.

Using the download programme enables us to make use of the align and distribute function that isn’t available in the online version.

I am also showing how to save a file from the download version as there are several options to choose from.

I made my stencil from a laminating pouch, so I also show this process and how I cut it using my ScanNCut SDX2200D.

Make sure you’re subscribed to my Youtube channel because in the next video I show you how I used the stencil to make a cute card with Stampin Up’s embossing paste.

Heres the stencil from todays video.

If Ive helped or inspired you, I would love you to shop with me For Stampin Up supplies Here

So yesterday I did my first ScanNCut workshop, with the lovely team from Makers Superstore and we went to Telford.

We met some lovely crafters and I had fun trying to show them how to use a ScanNCut, many of them were complete beginners and had never been near a SNC, although some of them do own a machine.

They all made two projects. The first is the out of the box Gift bag/box project and then I got them to make a paper piecing from one of the inbuilt designs in the SNC SDX2200 Disney machine. I had planed for them to make a shaped card with embellishment, but we ran out of time.

However in the process of making these 2 projects below they learned

  1. How to load the mat

  2. How to do a background scan

  3. How to delete items

  4. How to position items on a scanned background

  5. How to cut multiple colours of card at once

  6. How to group items

  7. How to choose various elements of a paper piecing design and put them on the screen mat

And here they are our lovely Telford crafters. This was taken at the beginning of the workshop when we had them doing a fun challenge with scissors!

So thank ladies you for joining us, it was a fun.
