When we moved into this house on new years eve and I had built these units for my office, I was so tired and stressed that I literally just unpacked and put things anywhere.
Needless to say every time I want something I am looking in the endless draws, so I decided I would organise my space better.
So here are some photos. Click on the photo and then click again to get the full size image.
My office is essentially a rectangle with a section cut out on the right as you walk in for our cloakroom and downstairs WC, so when you walk into it you don’t fully see all the office because of a section of adjoining wall.
The first photo is what you see from the door and the large notice board stood on the floor is to go on the wall over my printers sometime today.
Then you come into the room and see the three wall units that i built these are what store all my stationery, odds and ends and Pazzles stock.
The next photos is as you turn right into my office I have a good size window with three large panes of glass where I will have a roman blind when Ive made it.
I bought this fabric from Ikea the other day its lovely is taupe, cream, white and a burgundy red.
The next photo is my Ikea Galant desk which I love its a good size and then the next photo is showing my printers which is where the big notice board will be hung.
You can just see my laser printer on the floor next to my Epson at the moment I need another small table to stand it on.
The last photo is the view from my window, my office is at the front of the house so you can just see a section of the double gates , we also have a single gate the same next to these.
Ive taken some photos of our craft room 5 months on from when we moved in.
Our craft/sewing room is a through room into our south facing sun room so its always nice and bright you can just see the rocking horse in the corner of one of the photos next to the cuckoo clock where the sun room starts, which means i can sit there whilst my daughter is playing in the craft room if I am not crafting with her.
These photos were taken at night though.
As you walk into the room the tallish trolley on wheels stores our A4 paper and card, speciality papers like glitter foam, iron on ink jet paper, acetate etc, blank envelopes, protective clear bags and mini books.
The big white box has my daughters toys in, then the 4×4 expedite has tools and 12×12 paper and card and all sorts of other stuff.
Then to the left of that is my sewing table, with my machine and overlocker, on the left of this is where our sun room joins and if you turn round to the left again we have our working desks, so these are on the left of the room as you walk in.
We have small tools like bone folders adheshive runners, glue stick etc in the top draw, we have a draw just for things like 3d foam, atg gun, spray adhesives, we have a draw for paints and stencils for my daughter, and a draw for hamma beads and templates.
In the cupboard to the right of these desks where the laptop is i have things like spare 12×12 cutting mats for the pazzles cutter, and speciality media for the cutter things like, vinyl, chipboard, magnetic paper, whiteboard paper.
They are stored in a cardboard type magazine folder i think they are called A4 but take 12×12 and I cannot for the life of me think what they are called, you can fit 3 side by side inside the cupboard.
We also have a big cork board on the wall to the right of these desks for my daughters artwork.
I am going to get another Expedite the 2×2 to put where the Blue pin notice board is and use that for fabric storage when I get some time.
Well the front of our new house is now tidy and we had our new gates fitted on Thursday.
So on Friday night as it was nice and bright I started to paint them and finished them Saturday I was shattered.
This is only the undercoat I have to do them all again with the top coat to match the windows and doors but they are looking good so far.
If you click on the photos to enlarge them you will see that there are three gates, we have the double gates for cars etc and the single gate for pedestrians, so you can see why I was shattered!
(click once on a photo above and then click again on the photo that comes up and it will bring up another photo with a bigger view)
It had been raining this morning when I took the photos thats why they look a bit grey.
I have been painting the desk I got from free-cycle too which I want to use as a dressing table in my daughters room.
I have to say I am not as impressed with it as the Yew desk I did a few months ago but once I get the new handles on it and put it in her room with a mirror it may grow on me.
I will post photos when done.
