Welcome To My Blog

I have to say thank you to one of our Facebook members who created this little in the hoop heart embroidery design and also created a ScanNCut cutting file too.

So today I’ve used my ScanNCut to cut the hearts from calico and used her embroidery file to make this in the hoop design on my Janome Memory Craft 9900.

I’ve made a little makeup/pencil case with the design.

We saw some thing like this recently in a tea rooms that also does sewing classes, what a great combination sewing and cake!

Anyway I asked if they had any classes on how it was done and they put one on for me, unfortunately I didn’t get time to finish it so have to go back in a couple of weeks to cut and sew the lining.

so today I have sewn the front and back to the gusset so I thought I would post a photo its for my daughter and she loves it even though its not finished.

I am really pleased with how its turned out and have enough fabric left to make another one for me, I think I will reverse the fabrics next time.

So now it’s finished here it is with it’s lining.

A few months ago I posted a video showing how I used my ScanNCut to scan the basting line of an in the hoop appliqué design.

I thought I would try it out again today, this process works well with the ScanNCut and can save time on cutting and gives a very neat finish to a project. I used a different design this time.

The original post was dated 29th March and the video is here showing how I did it.
