  • Edge To Edge Quilting Using my Brother V5LE

Hi everyone I wanted to try out some edge to edge quilting using a design I bought from designs by juju and my Brother Innovis V5LE. All these fabrics were scraps I've had left over from previous projects for many years, they were all different sizes and widths, so I decided to cut them into 3" strips at what ever length the fabric was and see what I would end up with. I sewed all the strips together in one long length, then i cut this length in half and sewed the 2 long strips together, then i cut the length in half again and sewed the strips together, i did this until i had a 1 piece that was about 22" x 44". I then cut that piece in half to give me 2 squares that were 22x22". I used 505 spray to adhere the strip square to a piece of batting, then i used the DBJJ daisy edge to edge quilting file and used my Brother Innovis V5LE to quilt the design all over the front. Once this was done I cut the quilted squares to 20.5 x 20.5" I added a zip and a piece of plain white fabric for the back and turned my scrap pieces into cushions. I love how these have turned out and it's used up lots of scraps Ive been hoarding for many years and it gave me the chance to have a go at edge to edge quilting. I didn't record a video as I was just doing some sewing for myself but I did record a little bit of the quilting. Heres a quick video showing the quilting in progress and how the back looks with the designed all lined up its easier to see on the white batting. Have you done any edge to edge quilting using your embroidery machine?

  • How To Make Fabric Vinyl/Faux Leather & HTV Keyring's

Hi everyone I hope you are all well, Ive started adding some keyring designs into my ScanNcut shop, these make great gifts. They are easy to cut and assemble and use very minimal supplies. They are double sided which makes them sturdy and look nice from any side. These are the first two but by the time this blog post and video go live there will probably be more in the shop under vinyl keyring's. A couple of tips if you make them I cut the vinyl/faux leather face up on a standard mat Cut the HTV right side or shiny side down on a standard mat the elements in the cutting file have been mirrored already for you. As a rule you don't normally layer glitter HTV onto glitter HTV, but as these wont be washed It should be ok to layer in this instance, if you are concerned use a mixture of regular HTV and glitter HTV as in the coffee cup design. I hope you like them, the video assembly for the flip flops is below and it's the same procedure for all the other keyring designs.

  • How to change the name of your ScanNcut Machine

This is just another quick tip video, your ScanNCut machine just shows as a generic name and number in the canvas workspace settings, and that same name shows in the artspira app. You may have more than one scanncut machine and you want to be able to identify which machine you are sending files to more easily. You can change its name using the brother artspira app, in this video I show you how to do it step by step. You can get the artspira app from the app store you use for your mobile device. I hope it helps.

  • How to remove a ScanNCut machine from Canvas Workspace

Hi everyone, this quick tip video is how to remove a ScanNCut machine from your canvas workspace account. This was a question asked by Gill, I have responded to her in a message but I thought I would do a quick video for my youtube channel, that way I can point any future questions to this video. You may want to sell your SNC machine and remove it from your CW account, that way the new owner should not have problems when they set up a canvas workspace account and try to register the machine to them. I hope it helps.

  • Embrilliance Essentials - Personalised Bobbin Pouches

Hi everyone, some time ago I showed you how I made a little pouch to keep in my car with a little bit of parking change. The embroidery stitch file is free from Creative Fabrica as part of your membership here If you are not a member and would like more information, or would like to join, please use my affiliate link it doesn't cost you anything, here. In my previous video I went into more detail about how I added the snap fastening, so I will link to that video below as well, let me know if you try the pouches. I hope you like the project.
