I found this recipe on another website yesterday and thought I would give it a try
It’s lovely and moist
100g sugar 200g butter/margarine 200g sr flour 2 eggs 3 tbsp golden syrup
Cream butter and sugar Add eggs and syrup mix well Add flour and combine all the mixture
Pour into lined loaf tin cook at 170 for about 30 mins, once cooked leave to cool and enjoy!
Ive made this again today so thought I would post an updated photo, as my original one wasn’t that good, the cake still looks dark but I think thats because its made with brown sugar, but it is lovely and golden inside and so soft.
