Ive see this question asked on the net in several groups, how to get the embroidery machine to stop, for alternating text colour changes, with a word that has been created as a complete word, rather than individual letters.
The answer is usually that you have to do that in software, something like Embrilliance Essentials.
However, you can do this directly on the Brother V5LE and I suspect on other Brother machines too, especially ones that have the big colour touch screen.
