Some of you may know that in early 2021 I sold my Janome memorycraft sewing/embroidery machine and purchased a Brother V5LE which again is a combined sewing/embroidery machine.
I love it and have rekindled my love of machine embroidery, in particular in the hoop deisgns.
It's amazing to think that you lay down fabric in a hoop and the machine will turn out something like the notebook covers I've made here. If you are following my quilt along you may recognise the Yellow/Grey one, as its been made with the fat quarter bundle from Makers Superstore.
I purchased this design from designs by Juju, they have several similar designs, this one is the A5 quilted notebook cover and from their description I felt this one would work with the A5 sized notebooks that we can buy here in the UK.
The stitch file once purchased has all machine formats ie PES, JEF, HUS etc so there should be one that will work with your machine it has PDF instructions, which in the main were ok to follow however, I did find the part about adding the lining a little confusing but that could just be me and I did sew part of it wrong originally.
Ive made a step by step for you which I hope may help you if you try it.
The finished design is lovely and these would make great gifts I hope you like the project, please let me know if you've made them already or if you will try them in the future.
