Stampin Up sell a Bigshot Bigz die that is about £35.00 it makes a berry basket in one size, which is so cute. Do you remember those old types of basket that fruit came in years ago, with staples around the top rim?
So yesterday I decided to make my own version of a berry basket using SNC Canvas, and I was also able to make a loner to match, because it’s made for an electronic cutting machine it can be made in any size I choose and I think that’s the beauty of owning a machine like the SNC.
Something like this is not the kind of thing you would use all the time and £35.00 for a one size die is a lot of money, so to be able to make our own in many sizes is definitely an advantage.
I am not knocking dies they are great and I used to have a cuttlebug machine, but when I had a purge of my craft stuff last year I sold it as I never really used it.
So my version is slightly smaller than the SU one but as I said I can make it any size. I have made the cutting file in two parts because that way you can get the whole basket complete with rim and handle out of a piece of A4 card.
